The parents organized a surprise party for Miss Morren. All the kids knew about and actually kept it a secret. When Miss Morren and Mr Steinbacher took the kids outside for recess, us parents got to work. One of the other teachers asked Miss Morren to watch her kids on the playground while she "went to the bathroom" (she actually wandered the halls) so the kids could come in, get out of the outside gear and hide.
When she came into the room all the kids jumped up and yelled surprise. I think she truly was surprised! :-) Marc loved her, he actually cried in the car on the way home. I heard lots of kids asking her if she could come back for "just one more day?" You know it is a good teacher when the kids don't want you to go.
As Miss Morren was passing out a treat she made for the kids, the kids decided to give her a group hug.
Mandy Morren is going to make one heck of a teacher! She will be sorely missed in Marc's class but whoever gets her, will be very Blessed!
