Nature walk field trip with school

Marc's preschool class had a nature walk and picnic field trip this morning. It was fun. We walked down the White Pine Trail looking for nature things to put on his "sticky bracelet"(masking tape with the sticky side facing out). We found leaves, flowers, and twigs. We took a picture of all of the 5's kids and their teachers. (Marc is way in the back on the right).

We walked with Clara and her Mom, Tracy most of the time. Whenever I got too far ahead or too far behind them, Marc told me to hurry or or slow down. One time we got separated and when he found Clara, he said "There's my buddy!" When we ate lunch we had to put on blanket down right next to hers. I had to struggle with him to pay attention to Daddy, who made a special trip down for lunch with us. I think we might have out first crush in action. ;) If it is, we couldn't have hoped for a nicer girl and family for his first crush. :)

Raggs! Dance Party Live on Stage

Marc got free tickets to go see Raggs! on stage. Raggs is a tv show on PBS and has colorful dancing and singing dogs.

We figured, it's free, what the heck, so we went. We took Samantha and Marc.

Samantha was mesmerized by all of the colorful movement on stage. It was fun, they sang catchy tunes that got us all bee-boppin'. Daddy even got to go an stage and be part of the show. The dance-o-meter needed new shoes to work, so the Raggs crew gave Daddy's shoes to the dance-o-meter to use. While daddy shoe's were off, he got to wear bright yellow bunny slippers on stage! :).

When the stage hand came to ask us if Marc would do it, I immedicately said yes!, I'm not sure if Daddy was pleased with me....oops! I think he had fun anyway. :)

We went to the circus!!

We decided that Marc was finally old enough to enjoy, and not be scared by, the circus. We also had a coupon for a free ticket for his first visit to the circus. We went on Sunday after church while Grandma Terri watched Samantha. We had a blast! When we got there we got to go down and "be part of the circus". We got to go down to the floor and watch some of the cats perform close up. We watched a lady on her flying silk, a clown juggling, some acrobats, and saw an elephant up close!

We then went and found our seats. We were in row 'K' right in front of the middle ring. We had great seats! We could see everything that was going on. Marc didn't know where he should look first!

As we were walking out Marc looked up at Daddy and I and said, with the biggest grin on his face, "That was soo much fun!". As we were driving back to pick up Samantha, he asked if we could go back to that circus again sometime. I guess it was a successful trip! :)

Funny Marc-isms

Having an almost 5 year old makes me laugh sometimes. He comes up with some of the cutest things to say. Here are a couple of them......

He was decorating a project for preschool and he asked if he could use some of those "consequences" things. I told him I wasn't sure what he was talking about. He said, you know, the shiny things I used to decorate my bug for the library? What he meant to ask to use was sequins. :)

One day we were out driving around. Daddy passed the building we wanted to go to, so Marc told him "It's ok Daddy, just do a louie to turn around." :)

As he says more I will try to post them so you guys can have a good laugh too.

Starting out..........

Ok......I have been keeping up with other friends and family by reading their blogs, so I have decided to create one of my own. I am hoping this will make it easier for out of town and out of state friends and family keep up to date on what is going on with the Stoufer crew. I am also hoping, by keeping this blog, that I have better documentation of what and when my beautiful children do things. So here goes, let me know if this blog is helping you be kept up to date of the Stoufer Family happenings! (If you currently have a blog on this site, and have any tips for me, please let me know) Thanks for reading! :)
