Our baby is growing up!

We have begun giving Samantha more finger foods to try. She is loving every minute of the new flavors! We gave her some Pasta Pick-Ups ravioli. It took her awhile to take the first bite, but once she tasted it, she loved them! And she got it all over her face and in her hair........
So, after dinner, she got a bath. For the first time I put her in the regular tub with some toys to play with. She had fun splashing in the water.
After her bath we wrapped her up in her new Princess towl to dry her off and warm her up.
On Saturday we had spaghetti for dinner, and as always, we gave her a taste of it. Her face lit up like a Christmas tree so I decided to cut up some for her for dinner. So, my little baby girl had "big people" spaghetti for dinner. {sigh}

Fun Day at the Museum

My brother was in town to celebrate my Mom's birthday so he came to Cedar Springs to spend the day with us, really my kids ;) We decided to go to the Grand Rapids Public Museum to see the Dinosaur exhibit. Marc had fun "driving" the car at the museum.
The Dinosaur exhibit was cute. There were several animatronic dinosaurs. There was a bin with dinosaur "bones" buried in rice and brushes for the kids to use to uncover the bones. Uncle Jeff helped. There was a station for the kids to put on a dinosaur puppet show.
The museum had an exhibit called "The Street of Old Grand Rapids". One of the "shops" they had was an old fashion soda fountain. There is an old fashion soda fountain in AR that we go to when we go down there so daddy was preparing Marc for when we go.
There is an old time trolley that people can climb on so we got a cute picture of our kids with Uncle Jeff.
There is a room with all kinds of dolls. In the room with the dolls there is a tea party, so Daddy had a tea party with the kids.

Time is flying!

Well, we went the a party supply store over the weekend and got stuff for Samantha's first birthday party. Time is flying! It seems like just yesterday that I was in the hospital having her. I can't beleive that I am planning her 1st birthday already! Wow!

6th Tooth!

Samantha's 6th tooth finally popped through on Saturday. While she got all the other teeth, you never would have thought she was teething, but this 6th tooth really got her good. She had a fever off and on for about a week, she was cranky, and she slept a lot more then usual. I am just glad that it is in and no hopefully she can get back to be the happy, smiling, giggling little girl she is.

5th tooth!

Samantha now has 5 teeth with a 6th on its way in. I had been watching her top right front tooth to come in. Marc was feeding her the other day and decided to look in her mouth first. He informed me that she already had 4 teeth in. Her tooth on top to the left og her left front tooth had come in the day before. I didn't even know that was coming in. That night I noticed that her top front right tooth came in. She currently has 2 teeth on the bottom and 3 on top. The 6th tooth that is coming in is also on top. So, if yo put your finger in her mouth......watch out! ;)

On the Move!

Well, our lives as we knew them have changed! ;) Samantha officially started crawling this week. Last week she would move her hands forward and then drag her knees behind her for about 3-4 "crawls" worth. This past weekend she began crawling! She crawls with a purpose too! She sees something she wants, and off she goes! She is not a fast crawler yet, but she is on the move! Enjoy the video!

A Milestone for Marc!

After 3 years of out-patient speech, we were told that he is now done. We will go next week to sign the official papers that is now now ineligible for speech. It is bittersweet. I am so used to going and Marc has a great time with Mrs. Tari. People that knew him "back when" are amazed at how well they can understand him. I can't believe how far he has come!
This is a picture of Marc with Mrs. Tari on his last day. :)

3rd tooth!

Samantha's 3rd tooth popped through today! It is on the bottom next to the one that she already has. Still no pictures though. :( I think the 4th is working on coming in, it is on the top next to the one that came through yesterday. Nobody would ever know that she is cutting teeth. She has been chatty and smiling, and just all around happy. We are very thankful for that!

2nd Tooth!

Last night I decided to feel in Samantha's mouth to see if any more teeth had come in....and she bit me! ;) The tooth on top directly over where her other tooth on the bottom is in. So, our little girl now has 2 teeth! She still won't let us get a picture of them. :(
