3rd tooth!
Samantha's 3rd tooth popped through today! It is on the bottom next to the one that she already has. Still no pictures though. :( I think the 4th is working on coming in, it is on the top next to the one that came through yesterday. Nobody would ever know that she is cutting teeth. She has been chatty and smiling, and just all around happy. We are very thankful for that!

2nd Tooth!
Last night I decided to feel in Samantha's mouth to see if any more teeth had come in....and she bit me! ;) The tooth on top directly over where her other tooth on the bottom is in. So, our little girl now has 2 teeth! She still won't let us get a picture of them. :(

Sledding Day at Preschool
Marc had a sledding at preschool today. As he was sledding I realized that he had never been sledding before! I am not a fan of cold weather so I haven't taken him out to go sledding before. He was a little unsure at first. After he saw some of the other kids going on the hill smiling, he decided it was fun. He didn't want to go in when his teacher told him that is was time for sledding to be done. Here are a couple of cute pictures for this morning:

After the kids went inside the teacher put me on "S'more Duty". I made s'mores for the kids to at for snack after their sledding time. They were super yummy!!

Samantha's 9 Months Old!
Samantha turned 9 months old on January 7th! Time sure does fly when you're having fun! She got her first tooth on her 9 month birthday, she is transitioning to stage 3 foods, she loves rolling all over our living room floor, and she is very close to crawling. She also has figured out how to say Mama & Dada. She waved bye-bye to me when I dropped her off when I went to work this morning, it was so cute! We had her 9 month well-baby check-up yesterday. Here are her statistics:
Weight: 18lbs 9.5oz 40th percentile
Height: 29 1/4 inches 92nd percentile
Head Circumference: 45cm 75th percentile

Our Little Fish!
Marc has always loved "swimming" with Daddy. Whenever we stayed in a hotel, we had to go swimming in their pool since both Marc and little Marc love swimming. We joined the YMCA a couple of weeks ago so we have gone swimming A LOT since we joined. We decided it was a good time for Marc to start official swimming lessons. He had his first lesson today. He had a great time! He has 5 kids between the ages of 3-5 in his class.
They started the class out by having the kids hold onto the edge of the pool and kick their feet behind them. I think Marc was having a good time.
And then the kids sit on the wall until the teacher brings them out to do some basic swimming moves one at a time.

She took the kids out to float on their backs.
She asked the kids to blow bubbles in the water.
At the end of class she had the kids jump off the wall and into the water next to her and then she helped them swim back to the side of the pool.
I had a lot of fun watching him during his swim lesson. I look forward to lots more of them to watch.
First Tooth!
Yeah!! Samantha officially got her first tooth on her 9 month birthday! We have been very blessed, she was not fussy at all while she was cutting her tooth. The only thing she did was chew on everything she got her hands on. We think she is working on cutting another one, she is still chewing on lots of her "hard" toys. She will not let us get a picture out it yet, so as soon as she lets us, we will post a picture.

Happy New Year!
Happy 2009! We spent the night at home, relaxing, and enjoying our time together as a family. Marc helped us make a pizza dip. It was a recipe from his new cookbook he got from Grandma for Christmas. It was yummy!
We also made some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Those were yummy as well!
Samantha spent the night sleeping, eating, and playing; kind of her usual routine ;)
She only made it until 11:30pm. We thought she was going to make it until midnight!, but then she crashed while she was drinking her bedtime bottle.
At midnight we let Marc (and us too) do some of the poppers that shoot confetti out when you pull the string. Marc actually made it until 12:00. I think we was the least tired of the 3 of us. As soon as we did the poppers and cleaned them up, we all went directly to bed.
It was a fun New Year's Eve. I hope you all had a good 2008 and have an even better 2009! :)

Messy Baby!
While we ate dessert on Christmas day, we gave Samantha her first Biter Biscuit. It was very funny to watch! This is Samantha when she first began eating the biscuit.
The more she ate, the messier she got. This is her about half-way done with it.
This is what she looked like when she got done. She had it ALL over her face and in her hair!
So she got a bath!
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! We hope everyone had a joyous day! We woke up about 8:00 this morning and started our day. The first thing we did is let Marc open his stocking. He got lots of stuff!
My Mom, Grandma, & Brother got to our house about 10:00. After they brought in their presents and put them with ours, they took up A LOT of space.
Samantha was completely overwhelmed! She took a nap not long after everyone got here. She woke up in time for lunch and them some more present opening. Since she couldn't do it, her big brother helped. She had most of the new toys sitting in her lap and she looked like a deer in the head lights. Marc had a lot of fun. Marc (Daddy) bought himself a new laptop for Christmas so Marc got his old one, all loaded up with kid's games, for Christmas, sohe has his very own laptop. How many 5 year olds can say that?!
For about the last 3 months Marc has been telling us he wants the My Friends Tigger & Pooh changing tree. We were able to find a good deal on it, so we brought it for him for Christmas. He was very excited!
Every year I try to remember to have someone take a family picture of us on Christmas day.

Christmas Eve
Every year we go down to my Mom and Grandma's church in Kentwood for a Christmas Eve candle light church service. This is one of the only of the only times that we all get dressed up so we took some pictures.
Samantha was tired so we didn't get any smiles from her, but it is still cute.
Marc was excited about it being Christmas Eve so he was all smiles.
We got a cute picture of them together.
After church we had our family picture taken in front of the Christmas tree in the church sanctuary.
